For those who forget words in silence, reality becomes clear.
Those who attain silent awakening belong to our tradition.
Silent awakening ascends to the highest peak and descends to the deepest depths.

The night is over, the room is empty.
The bitter cold kept me from dreaming.
I sit quietly and wait for the sound of the temple bell.

We are pleased to announce that this year we are celebrating 50 years of Muijoji Zen Dojo Zurich. It was founded in 1975 by Master Mokudô Taisen Deshimaru, who gave it the name Muijo – ‘Castle of Non-Fear’. All zazen days, sesshins and activities are dedicated to this anniversary. A special weekend is planned for 14th – 15th June.

‘Practising zazen in our confused world means to return to the true dimension of man and rediscover the fundamental balance of his existence.’
Taisen Deshimaru
